Normally you cannot change the name of the recycle bin, but here is a trick on how to change the recycle bin name to your wish.............
1) First go to Start
2) Go to Run.
3) Type regedit and hit Enter
4) It will open the registry Editor
5) Select and Open the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder
6) Now select and open the CLSID folder
7) Now Select and Open the {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} folder.
8) Select and open the ShellFolder folder
9) Change the attributes values on the Right hand side , change the Value from 40 01 00 20 to 50 01 00 20.
10) Now you have to change the CallForAttributes dword Value to 0 (0×000000).
11) Now refresh and go to recycle bin, you get the Rename option.

change the Value from 40 01 00 20 to 50 01 00 20 is nt working on win7.
ReplyDeleteThis trick is for older windows systems, for windows 7 no need of this, if you want to rename, just Right click the Recycle bin icon and click on the Rename and change it to your Desired name :)
